Cookie policy
This policy describes the browser storage used by the Al Azhari Perfumes website for the shopping bag and authenticated account sessions. The deployed hosting and provider inventory should be rechecked before launch.
Draft for business and legal reviewPurpose and scope
Cookies and similar browser technologies can store information, keep a session, remember a preference, measure use, or support advertising. This page describes storage used by the current Al Azhari Perfumes application.
The exact technologies delivered by a production host, content-delivery network, or security service must be checked in the deployed browser and this page updated if they change. Secure payment checkout may be provided by Razorpay when the store enables it.
Shopping bag local storage
The storefront saves product slugs, selected size identifiers, and quantities in the browser’s local storage using the key al-azhari-cart. This lets the bag persist on the same browser and device. The bag is not authoritative: product price and stock are refreshed from the server before an order is created.
Local storage is browser storage, not a cookie, and is not automatically sent with every web request. You can clear it through your browser’s site-data controls; doing so removes the saved bag on that device.
Cookies in the current application
When you sign in, the site uses the alazhari-session HTTP-only cookie for your account session. A short-lived alazhari-password-recovery cookie is used only during password reset. These cookies are inaccessible to page scripts; the Secure flag is used in production and SameSite=Lax is set. The current application code does not intentionally create analytics or advertising cookies and does not load analytics or advertising scripts.
The production platform, hosting edge, bot protection, and future payment tools may set their own cookies or similar identifiers. Their presence, name, operator, purpose, duration, and preference requirements cannot be confirmed until the final deployment and vendor list are known.
Clearing browser storage
You can remove the saved bag and sign-in session by using your browser’s controls to clear site data for this website. Browser settings differ by device and browser; clearing site data signs you out and removes the bag on that device.
If browser storage is disabled or unavailable, the bag may not persist between visits. You can still manage account data and orders after signing in again.
Third-party technology and future preferences
Before enabling analytics, advertising, embedded media, chat, A/B testing, or other nonessential technology, the business should identify the provider and technology, document the purpose and data involved, review provider settings and retention, and add any notice and choice controls required for the actual setup.
Consent or preference choices must not be bundled with unrelated actions or made harder to reject than to accept. The business should respect an applicable preference, remember it appropriately, and re-check the inventory when a provider or configuration changes.
Updates and contact
The business should date the final version and update it when browser storage, the site host, or a third-party service changes. A periodic scan of the deployed site should compare actual cookies and storage against the published notice.
